Revised Register of the Soldiers and Sailors of New Hampshire in the War of the Rebellion, 1861-1865.

Concord: Ira .C. Evans, Public Printer, 1895. Thick Folio. Item #032587

xii, 1347 pages. "The best source for individual soldier's records". The cost of producing this huge volume was published with Adjutant General Ayling's push to have it published through the authority of state legislature. It has complete records of the 18 regiments as well as the Sharp Shooters units, the colored soldiers, the Lafayette Guard. AG Ayling was able to obtain the records from the Navy Department of all the New Hampshire sailors who served in the Civil War, making this among the most complete of all the state histories of what they called the War of the Rebellion. A near fine copy of a book that frequently has severe wear or cracked hinges. Bound in 3/4 dark brown morocco over black pebble grained cloth, spine lettering gilt, some minor spots of rubbing to corners and joints. A very nice copy. [CWB, II, 158:].

Price: $375.00
