24 pages. Index. Introduction by Charles Eberstadt. One of the major figures in the fur trade referred to by the Sublette's, Bridger, Bonneville, and others though he left no books. His letters were written in the early 1830's and rediscovered from the 1836 National Atlas published by Samuel C. Atkinson and in the Tuesday Morning mail. Now rediscovered by F.W. Beinecke in the early 1950's who made them available in a very small print run with an index and notes by his friend Archibald Hanna of Yale's rare Western Americana collection. A fine copy string bound in blue stiff paper wraps; white paper label lettered in black.
