622 pages. This Conference drew major speakers from William Styron, James Michener, Eudora Welty, Elmore Leonard, and a host of important American writers. Founded by Barnaby and Mary Conrad, it was the favorite of Dr. Seuss (Ted Geisel), Gore Vidal, and Alex Haley. Here is not only all the gossip by writers but aspects which Fannie Flagg prepared her for her first major book. Inscribed by all three authors to Darlene Bucklew. Copies of this book were given to participants and sponsors. Laid in is a copy of a conference newsletter announcing a talk by Jules Feiffer and a book signing by Sue Grafton. Bound in pictorial stiff paper wraps with a drwing of Snoopy on the cover, letterring blue. A very nice, near fine copy. None are recorded on OCLC.
