Translated from the French, with an introduction by Frederic Lees, illustrated with 71 illustrations and a sketch map showing route. This edition has the fold-out map which was in the French edition but was too expensive, so omitted by the publisher in the early English edition. Safari Press has produced a fine copy of this edition. This is the third volume in its classics in African Hunting series. A fine copy bound in blue pictorial gilt cloth depicting an elephant a lettering in gilt, spine lettering gilt, housed within publisher's red paper covered slipcase.
