Later, he organized the Foundation Egyptologique Reine Elisabeth. The celebration of the centennial of the deciphering by Champollion and the discovery in the next year of the tomb of King Tut-Ankh-Amun led to Queen Elizaeth and Prince Leopold in Egypt to having him join them to the newly discovered site. Bound in a modern ¼ brown leather over marbled paper covered boards, paper label to upper boards, spine lettered in gilt. No names or bookplates. A fine set with remarkable early photographic views of the area discovered first by M. Victor Loret who began the excavation in 1897-1899. He never had the time to finish his exploration.
