Davies work in Egypt was underwritten by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. l Survey. The tombs are those of Mentuherkhepeshef, User, Daga, Nehemaway, and Tati. The one of Daga, a minister, of King Neb-Hapet-Ra Mentuhetep, the builder of the XIth Dynasty Temple at Der el-Bahri. Book label of the Institute of Egyptian Art and Archaeology (Fairman collection). Herbert Walker Fairman also worked closely for Alan Gardiner and John Garstang. Bound in 1/4 brown cloth over paper covered boards lettered in black, spine lettered in black, some rubbing to boards and spine lettering, corners worn through, previous owner's bookplate, rear pastedown contains a listing of the publications of the Egypt Exploration fund.
