18 pages, illustrated. The Two Medicine Formation in northwestern Montana has had one of the most remarkable findings of dinosaurs and other important fossils from the Campanian stage. Charles W. Gilmore was a major American paleontologist whose papers were written primarily while in the employ of the National Museum of Natural History. This is one of his most scarce papers his work in the late 1930's after his last expedition to the Two Medicine Formation. This copy is from the library of William H. Carr, a curator of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City Museum from 1919-1944, his name is stamped on the front wrap. Also, below Carr's name there is another stamped name of Botanist William H. Brown (1884-1939) who was Director of the Philippines Bureau of Science, 1924-1933, and then a lecturer in botany at Johns Hopkins University, 1934-1939. Staple bound in very good condition.
