237 pages. The author's first book limited to 3000 copies. Jaffrey #29 states 3084 copies were actually printed. After selling some of his early articles in Unknown--Weird Tales, Ballantine books brought out Tales from Night's Black Agents, the reprint edition lacking "Adept's Gambit". Unfortunately, they mistakenly misspelled Leiber's last name as Lieber on the title page which led him to buy copies whenever possible and would correct them in ink and signed them. A near fine copy bound in black cloth, spine lettering gilt, one corner slightly bumped, in unclipped pictorial dust jacket designed by Ronald Clyne, lettered in blue and white, toning to flap folds, light rubbing to spine, corners and front flap, some light toning or soiling to rear panel. A very nice copy.
