24 pages of text, 100 facsimile plates, lettering in black and red. Lauitz Nielsen was a specialist on the history of the book in Denmark. Besides his bibllogrphies, in this volume he has produced important facsimiles of major Danish items. The typography shows an exquisite sense of balance not only within any given character, but also in the `flow' from one character to the next, making it quite comfortable to read. Bound in 1/4 vellum over blue paper covered boards, tips of coners vellum,spine lettering black, previous woner's name in pencil, a few stains to covers, internally clean and bright.
