During this period of the war, comics were apparently cut. The cartoonist received no advance notice of the cuts. The daily newspaper comics had been getting trimmed too. The editors of this work brought the popular Milton Caniff cartoons back as he was considered the greatest comic artist alive. This work contains many rare illustrations and stunning frame enlargements. Bound in brown cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, spine lettering gilt. A very nice copy in a very nice pictorial gilt dust jacket.
