Litchfield, Connecticut: Np, 1903. First Edition. Octavo. Item #029998

She emphasizes not only the dignity of labor but its importance both from early history to its importance in the American Revolution. One scholar notes that while groups of women were spinning, they might be entertained by a preacher's sermon. Bound in white cloth beautifully designed by Harvard's print shop with images of musket and staff on the cover in gilt., lettering and top edge gilt, spine plain. A handsome copy with off-setting to endpapers from binder's glue, slightest toning to board edges. Very nice.
