. First book published by Oracle Press. Limited to 100 copies. The present copy is number 46. 35 pages. One of the most beautifully printed Bruce McGrew conceived the collection which in the introduction says might have been subtitled: A Voluntary of Love with designs by Margaret Bailey Doogan whose copper plate etching is signed only Margaret Doogan. In additon, there is Diane Wasaki's: Screw, a Love Poem, W.S. Merwin's: Edouard and a host of beautiful items funded by the University of Arizona Foundation which provided the materials for the finest tooled handset letterpress type, on Rives and Italia hand molded paper and anything needed for a remarkable production. Besides the work of 10 contemporary poets there are 12 graphic works of finished etchings, and copperplate engravings are all signed by their artists. Laid in is an extra signed etching by James Davis to accompany Michael Van Walleghen's "On Seeing the Abomniable Snowman at the 1968 Kansas State Fair". A fine bright copy bound in orange cloth, title in blind, spine plain. A very nice work.
