The Suppressed Truth About the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln
Philadelphia: B. McCarty, 1924. Small Octavo. Item #029268
Portrait frontispiece, 255 pages, illustrated. Father Chinquy who wrote the anti-Catholic Fifty Years in the church of Rome claimed that the Jesuits were behind the assassination. This work continues that tradition, crediting them also with the murders of William Henry Harrison, James A. Garfield, and William McKinley. While mostly an attack on the Church of Roman and the Jesuits in specific, the work is viewed as mostly fear of Catholic power in America. A near fine copy bound in the original red cloth lettered and ruled in gilt, spine lettering gilt, only a few tiny rub marks.
