94 pages. Signed and inscribed by the authore and includes 2 mounted photographs of the author. Dittenhoefer was a campaigner for Lincoln in 1860 and 1864. The only first-hand account of the campaign. Robert T. Lincoln said this book was how he remembered the events of the campaign. Inscribed to Miss Mildred Louise Joiner: "In remembrance of pleasant meeting at Hotel Sippican, Marion, Mass. and with the compliments of the author, September 1917, Abram J. Dittenhoefer." The photographs were taken by Miss Joiner of Dittenhoefer when he was eighty-one. A lovely near fine copy bound in black cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, spine plain, in it's original pictorial dust jacket with a chip to two corners, spine ends and a larger chip to front panel obscuring publisher Harper's name, A very scarce work.
