How to Make Converter Steel Castings
Cleveland: Penton Pub. Co., 1910. Octavo. Item #029211
40 pages, although the process was used in the industry and it was discussed in conferences on contemporary technology, this was the first major book on both the process and what a manufacturer needed to know the methods involved in manufacturing steel castings by the converter process. What began as articles in the Foundry magazine eventually led to the production of this volume. This original book was issued in a very small print run. Copies at NYPL, The Hagley, and four other libraries. A good only copy bound in green cloth lettered and decorated in black, central pictorial pastedown, lower board edges and damp stained and damp staining to margins throughout, boards are a bit warped.
