This classic dealt with the complexities of how treason should be prosecuted. David Hume held him in regard, the entrusted Erskine with the final decisions on his Essays, Morals and Political. Bound with A form and method of commoners, in cases of high treason and misprision of high treason. Bound in contemporary paneled calf, slightly raised bands, spine plain, light wear to corners, small splits to upper joints at head with chipping (not broken through) early owner's name (?).
