London: Kegan, Paul, 1911. Octavo. Item #029182
. 409 pages. Tuckett was notable for his research published in the Journal of Physiology, but he is best known today for his exposing the false claims of spiritualists. This work was his most important and for which he is best known. Like Houdini, he exposed the tricks of fraudulent mediums and writes it carefully, reasoning about the "so-called" claims of psychical research. Bound in gray cloth, spine lettering gilt, corners lightly bumped, some rubbing to spine. Off-setting to endpapers mostly likely from the binders glue and some foxing.. A very good copy.
