The first 260 pages give in detail the social structure of the region around Syria. Beginning on page 261 how all forms of motor transport began to change the entire area. Dr. Grant also has provided six appendices dealing with the glossary of Arabic names, places, tables of moneys and exchange, bibliography and notes. Bound in light brown cloth spine lettered and decorated in gilt, soiling, or staining to covers. A very good copy.
