He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1955 for his work on sulfur compounds and the first synthesis of a polypeptide hormone. It is nice to have a Nobel Prize sign a work with a note referencing his major discovery. Bound in red cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, just a touch of scattered foxing to fore-edges. A very nice copy.
