Artist edition limited to 1,000 copies signed by the illustrator Marc Potts. 411 pages with an introduction by William Friedkin. Beautifully printed with the rich horror illustrations of Marc Potts. The First Edition of the corrected edition which Blatty began working on in 2011.He never had time for a second draft when the book first came out in 1971, and he wanted to rectify that. Blatty wrote: This will have a touch of new material in it as part of an all-around polish of the dialogue and prose. First time around I never had the time (meaning the funds) to do a second draft, and this, finally, is it. With forty years to think about it, a few little changes were inevitable plus one new character in a totally new, very spooky scene. This is the version I would like to be remembered for. A fine bright copy boumd a deep purple cloth with a cross stamped in black spine lettering gilt, pictorial endpapers, in a fine pictorial dust jacket, spine lettering in white, housed within a fine publisher's slipcase. An exceptionally nice copy.
