No pagination. [25] leaves of plates with blue over sheets describing each image. Photographer Lee Moorhouse captured some of the most important photographs of the Indians of the Northwest with the emphasis on Oregon in 1897-1919 (the Oregon Historical Society obtained many of the originals in 2006). This is the scarce 2nd edition with the colored photograph pastedown on the front cover. He has photographs here of Chief Joseph of the Nez Perces, Paul Show-A-Way, Chief of Cayuses. String bound in stiff green paper lettered and decorated in gilt with color photographic image mounted within gilt frame, yapped edges. Near fine with only very minute tears along upper edge.
