The chapter on religion is particularly fascinating as he deals with those who pressure people, alongside the peculiarities of each religion with attention to Baptists, Catholics, 7th Day Adventists, and a variety of others. He was one of the few who read John Wesley Powell's writings on religion and with whom Powell discussed his quandary.
