307 pages. A tipped in is a signed Letter from Heber J. Grant, President, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Salt Lake City, 1921 to House of Representatives member E.J. Jones. The project began with Thomas E. Farish but when he passed, Col. James H. McClintock continued and obtained photographs, letters, and the cooperation of the LDS church in Utah. James Barney provided the maps. The folding map of Arizona is present at the end of the book. It includes photographs of Mormons killed by the Indians (facing p. 292), includes a bibliography, Mormon settlement place names, chronology of leading events, tragedies of the frontier, index and over 50 interesting photographs including the Mormon Temple in Mesa. Also includes the Mormon colonization in Nevada. A very good copy bound in green cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, sticker removal ghost on spine, upper corner of title page clipped.
