One of the most remarkable captures of an enemies documents which detailed Napoleon's plans to govern Egypt changing its infrastructure not only with maps but using cadastral maping which would enable them to tax all agricultural and real property. Bound in 3/4 dark brown morocco over marbled paper covered boards, rasied bands, compartments lettered and decorated with bees in gilt decorative endpapers, all edges marbled, early rebacking with old spine laid down, some off-setting from fontis map, small sticker? removal to upper board, from the library of Fenelon Alcoforado with his bookplate.
