Third state of Ruscelli's map of Pakistan, Western India and the Indus River region, extending to what is present day Karachi and the Indian Ocean in the south, based upon Claudius Ptolemy and Gastaldi's maps, engraved on copper, marking a turning point in the history of topography. Leaf measures 8 3/4 x 12", imaged measures 7 1/2" x 10". Text on verso/ Center fold with some toning. A nice examaple of an early map.
