The editor, Bruce Caldwell, is one of America's leading economic scholars in the last decade of the 20th Century and has contributed a 48 pages introduction which is well worth reading. This volume includes Hayek's "the Paradox of Saving" which was originally published in German in 1930. Published before his Treatise on Money and his various arguments and reviews opposing Keynes, along with much on the Keynes-Hayek correspondence with a personal recollection of Keynes by Hayek. Much sheds light in his Road to Serfdom. A fine copy bound in red cloth stamped in silver, spine lettering silver, in near fine dust jacket with a small wrinkle to upper edge of corner.
