Evenhuis discusses his importance in his history of Dutch protestant commentators. Knipscheer notes his significance in the New Dutch Biographical Dictionary. Copies are found at Yale, Calvin College and the University of Wisconsin (Madison), others are in the Netherlands. Bound in full vellum, spine titled in brown ink and dated in black ink, remnants of bookplate removal, previous owner's name and other names of cousins dated 1729. vellum bowed just a bit as usual. A very nice copy without foxing.
