[8], 496 pages, index of 112 pages including the errata, with Latin and Greek words, references. Lars Kraft and his son Petrus Kraft worked together publishing scholarly works aimed at educating the pastor in Greek and Hebrew while serving in their parish. This extensive work on the New Testament analyzed the Greek moving from Matthew to the Apocalypse. Besides the Greek and the Latin equivalent, it often shows on proper names the Hebrew word (not transliterated). Bound in 3/4 calf over marbled paper covered boards, flat spine ruled in gilt, leather spine label gilt, a couple of small worm holes to spine, a few contemporary names in brown ink marked out, lacks rear free endpaper, and initial front black, internally clean. A very good copy with bookplate of previous owner Kim Cramer.
