106 pages, 44 plates. One of 20 copies bound in leather and signed by Lord Samuel on the title page and the letter laid in which states the limitation. Although the Jews flourished under William I and Edward I, they were expelled from England in 1290. They began to flourish under Elizabeth I and in 1656 they were officially welcomed. When the Czarist persecution of Jews began in 1881 there was an influx of Jews as well as those that left Germany under the Nazi persecution that began in 1933. A fine copy.
