Billy sets out and after some rich experiences comes home for his younger brother Boyd and brings him into a Southwestern world of fiestas, circuses, gypsies, roving tribes and danger. McCarthy has written richly of the land, the people, and two boys who are on the eternal quest of youth "coming to age". The preceding work of the trilogy: All the Pretty Horses won the National Book Award. A handsome copy, bound in 1/4 black cloth over black paper covered boards, spine lettering gilt, in unclipped pictorial dust jacket. A near fine, sharp cornered copy.
