Color frontispiece, xxii, 450 pages, 15 unnumbered leaves of plates (10 double), illustrations (8 in color), fascimile, portraits, 1 folded map. This was J.B. Tipton's copy where he notes, Headquarters, 6th Field Artillery. Some notes in red ink in the back regarding officers, etc. He makes comments in red and blue ink but he was a participant so that part is positive. The first 266 pages are the history of the First Division, the Honor Roll is the rest of the volume. Laid in is a 1918 official circulation leaflet from Secretary of War, Baker, who expresses the pride of what the 1st Division has accomplished. Bound in full blue cloth lettered and decorated in green, red and gilt, repeated on spine, corners worn , light wear to spine ends, joints rubbed. A very good copy.
