Hilprecht was a leading scholar on the Near East with a specialty on Assyriology, he was able to get the leading scholars on Egypt, the Holy Land and Arabia. Israel's work in 1966 Cathedra: For the History of Eretz Israel and Its Yishuv quotes it as a major authority. Bound in maroon cloth pictorially stamped and lettered in gilt spine lettering gilt, spine darkened, tiny tear to head. A very good copy.
