Limited edition. Small octavo.31 pages, Printed in a small limited edition (this is number 25). The book is "designed for the instruction and pleasure of those whose mother-tongue is German. To that it employs a majority of words of Anglo-Saxon descent. It is set in Munder Venesian type and printed on Italian hand-made paper being the watermark "Ciconia", a crane: the first story at the North Shore County Day school, Winnetka, Illinois, the remainder by the Elm Press at Indianapolis, Indiana, 1933. A typical story where an aged king sets his two sons as princes to find a beautiful woman. A nice printing on quality paper, and typical of those who in high schools of the era would try to print a nicer edition. Bound in 3/4 red cloth over green cloth, spine plain, some spots of soiling to binding, binder's ticket to rear pastedown. A very good copy.
