We are told the book belonged to Grace D. Smith from Clara, October 19th. 1907. From an internal reading of the forty-five pages, we see that the activity is from a large home in the Northeast. Students from Yale drop in, many bridge games are held (sometimes giving score, prizes), recipes are sometimes clipped and placed into the book. Events began in 1909 and conclude in 1930. OCLC records only one copy (University of Pennsylvania) but that is a blank book. Among the common family appearances are the Bushnells, Lytells, Platts, Waldrons, and the Watsons as well as the Smith. Bound in green suede, title gilt within blind stamped border, yapped edges, some soiling to binding. A very good copy.
