Boston: Houghton-Mifflin, 1925. First Edition. Octavo. Item #027356
281 pages. One of the most interesting books on hunting in Africa in the period just after World War I. The Curtis brothers took leave from their law practice and after killing six lions began their hunt for the giant sable. Issued in a small print run this is a fairly scarce work and one of the best on African big game. Many black and white photographs of their experiences with much on both Kenya and Angola. Bound in orange cloth lettered and decorated in black depicting a silhouette of Africa, two bumped corners, light finger soiling, previous owner's gift inscription. A very good copy.
