No. 793. Bifolium, English text, pages 1-4. Though he was elected to the Royal Astronomical Society in 1830, his health had slowed his active life but after a remarkable recovery in 1850, here he notes first the interior faint rings, then the exterior bring ring which he observed on October 26 [1851] and compares it with Professor Encke's observations in 1837 and 1838. Then, the interior bright ring which he notes agrees with W. Herschel's observations in 1780. Finally, he deals with the Ball. His descriptions remain among the finest made in the mid-19th century.
