-7-112 pages, portraits of dozens of the newspaper men with biographies. McKenzie was both a journalist and a researcher at the Library of Congress. He had also been a correspondent with Robert LaFollett. He begins noting how integrity had increased since the journalism lapses of integrity in the 1870's and 1880's. The importance of confidentiality, how fixed compensation helped for long-time reporters (with the chance to get additional income from syndication). He deals with the major correspondents by region East, West, South, etc. Bound in black cloth lettered in gilt, spine plain, lower corners bumped. A very good copy.
