New York: New Amsterdam Book Company, 1903. Small Oblong Octavo. Item #027045
320 pages. The list of Scottish and Irish scenes in the preliminary pages will help the reader in locating both the historic sites as well as the towns and cities that have changed dramatically from what existed at the beginning of the 20th century. It is not only the absence of cars in those latter scenes but the older stone buildings that had to be torn down in the interest of what was called progress. Bound in blue-green cloth lettered andf decorated in black and gilt, lettering and design repeated on spineSome light dampstaining at the end of the book that does not extent to the text or pictures but does exist on lower margins of a few leaves, smal nick near upper joint. A very good copy.
