Peter Rabbit

New York: New York Tribune, 1922. Item #026108

8 unnumbered pages, a very scarce edition of which the only recorded copy is in the Free Library of Philadelphia. Based on the character by Beatrix Potter in The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Harrison Cady creates these characters both in color and black-and-white. Staple bound, two small holes in margin of pages 3-4, some light staining and one page loose. Cady began illustrating in the New York Herald Tribune in 1920. In other editions, Thornton Burgess chose Cady to illustrated his juvenile stories. A very scarce copy with the adventures of Peter Rabbit which often resemble the plight of the average person whose children's misadventures cause stress followed upon resolution relief.
