Besides maps of all the major islands, it deals with the major eruptions and its effect on the population. There is also a report on the mining geology of the Eureka District of Nevada; A large section on fossils of oysters and the life-history of the oyster, finally, there is geological reconnance in southern Oregon. Bound in maroon cloth centrally stamped in a pictorial gilt, spine lettering gilt, a damp stain to lower front corner, new endpapers, damp staining to lower corners of leaves.
