6 pages. bound with: Minority Report relative to The Contested Election (1863) 4 pages. Measuring approximately 5 1/4" x 8 7/8" OCLC records copies at University of Alabama and Wake Forest. Another source shows the Virginia State Library has a copy. When David Chalmers took the seat in the Virginia General Assembly that George H. West claimed he had won. The votes of the 3rd, 14th, and 59th regiment of the Virginia infantry and 3rd of the Virginia cavalry but their votes had been sent to the strong jurisdiction (see Minority Report) thus with corrected totals it shows George H. West with a majority of 19 votes more than that of Chalmers. A very interesting example of a controversial election in the midst of the Civil War caused by the misdelivery of the votes from the Virginians in military service. Very scarce in very good condition, lacking tears, marks, with minor edge toning.
