Sergeant Alvin Cullum York was awared the Medal of Honor and became one of America's great heroes. The picture shows a reflective Sergeant York (portrayed by Gary Cooper) holding a Bible in his hand. The film was the highest grossing film of 1941. OCLC shows only two copies in US Libraries.A near fine copy bound in green cloth lettred in black, spine lettring black, previous owner's gift inscription, in a very good pictorial dust jacket with some rubbing and chipping to spine ends, corners and edges.
