98 leaves, typed carbon copy on one side only. Nell Goodale Price was a prolific author of children's plays, poems and stories published in the late 1930's through the 1940's in such magazines as Jack and Jill, Child Life, Wee Wisdom, the Instructor, and Junior Magazine. This includes as she notes in the section 12B The Two Mysterious Marvel Workers (10 pages) which she notes was her first juvenile which was not sold. Ref: John MacKay Shaw, Childhood in Poetry (Gale, 1967). As a freelance writer she had first published two western short stories in the early 1930's but the majority of her writing was aimed at the elementary or juvenile readers. Her children's play "Mother Bunny's Magic Spectacles" was presented not only in the 1940's but in the 1960's in primary schools in the Southwest. Bound in 1/4 beige cloth over maroon cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt. Near fine.
