Limited to 450 copies signed by Murphy and Edmisten. The present copy is number 163. iv, 332 pages, color illustrations. Index. . The full color box was later replicated for the dust jackets as later issues became reprinted in larger print runs. Very rare signed by both authors with presentation gift certificate laid in as the first copies were issued on December 20, 1994. Orginally, these early signed copies were available just before they came on the open market through Rick Edmisten in Studio City, California. Here are thousands of color illustrations of with details of the earliest manufactures such as Creek Club Bait Co., James Heddon, Paw Paw Biat and finally the late entry by Wilson Sporting Goods co. There are chapters on Metal Lures, Folk Art Lures and other varieties. The Show and Tell section at the end of the books shows photographs of some of the fine collections of the authors as well as several other legendary collections including advertising examples and other unique examples. A handsome copy bound in grean morocco lettered and ruled in gilt, spine lettering gilt, in color pictorial slipcase. Very nice.
