French text (with later English translation included) The funeral bills involves the burial cloth, three white candles, the payment to the church for his internment and a previously unpaid bill for $45. This bill was issued a year before President Thomas Jefferson concluded the Louisiana Purchase. Early Missouri documents (Pre-Louisiana Purchase) are uncommon.
