Described under the rich color picture on the cover as Kit Carson rescues the Covered Wagon pioneers: "putting spurs to their horses, they dashed through the astounded redskins and put for the wagons at wall speed. Such howls as went up from these duped rascals! They wheeled and fired at the two brave scouts but their bullets went wild." The only two recorded copies of this item are at the Gene Autry Museum and the University of South Florida. Original color pictorial wraps, browning as usual with some chipping along bottom edge.
