A tale about a male Indian from Oaxaca meeting a female of the Sioux nation and together battling the evil forces of the gods. Quetzalcoatl and Coatlicue, in their quest to save the saguaro cactus from extinction. D'Ambrosio explains every detail pertaining to his work on this volume in his "A Memoir of Book Design 1969-2000, pages167-171 with color photographic images. An ingenious 51(1) pp. multicolor illustrated book printed on hand-made paper, two fantastic pop-ups, one with feathers, bound in a very creative decorative binding of brown suede over speckled hand-made paper. Housed within a green stiff paper cover with reed paper ties. A beautiful copy from the library of Joseph D'Ambrosio.
