Limited edition, this being Artist's Proof A/P 2 of 65 copies, signed by Lawrence Clark Powell and Joseph D'Ambrosio. The volume contains 12 original mounted photographs of Ward's friends; Jake Zeitlin, L.C. Powell, Grant Dahlstrom, Muir Dawson, and others, each measures 12"x9" and individually signed and numbered by Amanda Blanco. Foreword by Powell; "About the Photographer" by Norman E. Tanis. From the distinguished library of Joseph D'Ambrosio, with an included invitation addressed to him from the Bibliographical Society celebrating Ward Ritchie's birthday and the publication of Type-Faces, with original envelope. A finely produced work: designed, printed, and assembled by D'Ambrosio using handset Della Robbia type and a Vandercook No. 4 proof press. The photographs were printed and mounted by Blanco on 2-ply archival board. Issued by Santa Susana Press under the direction of Tanis.Housed in an elaborate sculptural case of Italian linen over archival boards, designed to evoke the cortex of a camera lens, with the initials "WR" (Ward Ritchie).
