Bound into the book below the colophon is a sample of the calligraphy of the manuscript, written by Sheila especially for this edition at the actual size and on a piece of the same handmade paper (Barcham Green: D.C. and Son, 1946). Signed again on the binder's note tipped onto the rear pastedown by Peter Waters. A fine copy bound in ¼ brown leather over beige cloth, raised lettering framed within brown leather. Housed within beige cloth clamshell, paper spine label lettered in black, tiny smudge near bottom edge near spine. Since 1969, Joe D'Ambrosio has worked as an artist within the book medium. He writes, sets type, prints, designs, does the artwork, and binds the work in his special creative bindings. The book becomes a total work of art combining many spectrums of fine art and book mediums. A beautiful production. A fine, as new copy in a near fine clamshell.
