The author writes "It will be sufficiently apparent to the reader that, in the poem which follows, I have attempted nothing beyond a study of the life and times of the Pennsylvania Colonist, a simply picture of a noteworthy man and his locality". This work came from the library of the J.E. Wright, an author himself from Washington, PA. and who has written several books including one on Pioneer Life in Western Pennsylvania. A very good copy bound in green cloth over beveled boards, lettered and decorated in gilt, spine gilt, brown coated endpapers, light rubbing and wear to spine and spine ends, two leaves with very small pieces of the corners torn away, spine has a very small puncture under the author's name.
